Ray Dunaway

Ray Dunaway is the Managing Director of a group providing professional consulting and management services for corporate turnarounds and turnarounds of global business systems implementation projects. He became a Certified SOAR Consultant in 2008. His consulting engagements generally involve managing client personnel, vendors and other professionals of Fortune 500 companies in the financial, manufacturing and high tech industries in the United States, Southeast Asia, Russia and Europe. Functional areas of expertise are general management, project management, vendor management, business processes and production.

Mr. Dunaway was a co-instructor of the "International Business Development" course in the MBA Program of the Walter A. Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, where first year MBA students are taught the elements of management consulting and risk assessment. The course culminates with the presentation to clients of the results of for-fee consulting projects conducted by the students in Russia, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Previously Mr. Dunaway was Director of the Operations Management Program at Stanford Research Institute, where he was responsible for a staff of 15 professional consultants providing operations improvement and information systems consulting to international financial, manufacturing and service industries. He also co-managed a team of 80 consultants and client personnel during development of 10-year strategic retail systems plan for a large US bank. The plan included a current situation analysis, 10 year marketing projections, organizational changes, and projections of transaction types and volumes using analytical models. The plan also included technology assessments and migration plans.

Mr. Dunaway has also managed the Information Technology Consulting practice for a large consulting firm, was vice president of a large real estate development and residential/commercial construction firm, and President of a computer software/hardware company.

Mr. Dunaway received his Bachelor of Science and his MBA from the University of New Mexico, and did post-graduate work in International Business. He is a Certified Management Consultant by the Institute of Management Consultants, a Member of Turnaround Management Association, and he holds a Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate.
